Restructuring
Restructuring isn't a defeat. It's what you do before you're cornered into having no choices left. Wait until the bank pulls the plug or suppliers stop delivering, and you restructure from weakness. Do it before that, and you restructure from a position where you can still choose.
I get involved when the numbers stop adding up, a covenant is under pressure, an investor seems to be backing out, or the business model isn't delivering what it promised. Facts on the table first. Then the real options. Then movement.
